The Student Council (StuRa) is the representation of interests of the students of the TU Ilmenau elected by you. It represents the students towards the university, the city, the state and the federal government and communicates with many committees of our university.
Since the work of the StuRa extends over many working areas, it is additionally divided into different departments and working groups. You can find the introduction of our student committees and their members on this website. So if you want to know more about the work of your student council, the doctoral candidates' representatives or a department, you are at the right place.

In the period from Mon, 12 to Fri, 16 June 2023, the elections for the student council (StuRa), the doctoral students' representation, the student councils of the faculties EI, IA, MB, MN and WM as well as the student representatives in the faculty councils, in the equal opportunity council of the TU Ilmenau, the senate and in the institute council of physics will take place at the TU Ilmenau on the basis of the Thuringian Higher Education Act and the election regulations of the student body adopted by the student council of the TU Ilmenau in June 2021 in the second amendment version. In addition, two ballots will be held.

One-time payment for students |

In order to relieve students from increased energy costs, the German government is planning a one-time payment of 200 € for all students who were enrolled at a university in Germany as of December 1, 2022 and have their residence or usual place of abode in Germany. On this page we provide you with information on how to apply for the one-time payment and how to set up the necessary identification procedures.

Meetings
Our meetings take place every Wednesday at 7 pm.
Currently, these take place in hybrid form - in the EAZ 1337/38 and online via this link. The first session of the month takes place exclusively in presence.
