The student grant is paid to students of the TU Ilmenau (including doctoral students with student status who apply for it online and have registered their main residence in Ilmenau.

You have to apply for it annually on the website of the TU Ilmenau, it can be found here. The enrollment always starts on 01.10. and ends on 31.12.
Yes, the StuRa offers students of the TU Ilmenau, who have got into financial difficulties, an interest-free loan of up to 1,800.00 EUR. For this purpose, the need of the student must be explained in an internal StuRa meeting - of course in confidence. It is best to contact the Social Affairs Department first, they will be happy to advise you on this matter.

Yes, you can apply to the Studierendenwerk Thüringen for a full refund of the semester fee up to one day before the start of the semester (usually by 31.03 or 30.09). You can find all information about this here.
At the StuRa you can apply for a refund of the semester fee for the student body in the amount of 10,00 EUR.
The deadlines depend on the reason for the application: In the case of a leave of absence, the application must be received one day before the start of the semester (i.e. usually by 31.03 or 30.09), in the case of de-registration within one month of the start of the semester.
